  • Hearing tests: free, in clinic or at home, with no obligation.
  • Ear wax removal: £25 no wax, £40 wax in one ear, £65 wax in both ears.

Common questions

Is the home hearing test really free?

Yes. The visit and the full diagnostic test cost nothing, anywhere in the UK, and there is no obligation to buy anything afterwards.

Where do you cover?

The whole of the UK, including Northern Ireland. Our clinics are in Derby and Cannock, and our clinicians travel out from there and across the country.

How long does a home visit take?

Around an hour for the test itself. Allow a little longer if you want to try hearing aids or have impressions taken.

Is a home test as accurate as one in clinic?

For the great majority of patients, yes — we bring clinic-grade equipment and test the same way. If your case needs the sound booth, we will tell you and arrange a clinic appointment instead.

Can you remove ear wax at home?

We will look in both ears and tell you what we find. Wax removal is carried out at our Derby and Cannock clinics, where the suction and irrigation equipment lives.

Can you fit hearing aids at home?

Yes. Fittings, follow-ups, adjustments and ear impressions for custom aids can all be done in your own home.

Why can I not book a home visit online?

Because our clinicians travel. Booking by phone lets us group visits sensibly by area, which means less driving for us and a tighter arrival time for you.

Who will come to my house?

A registered Pride Hearing clinician who will carry photo identification. We confirm the name and the arrival time when we call you back.
