Pride Hearing

Terms and conditions

Our terms for appointments, ear wax removal pricing, free hearing tests, hearing aid trials and the 30-day money-back guarantee.

Appointments

You can book online, by phone on 01332 313 377, or by asking us to call you back. Home visits are arranged by phone rather than online so we can plan a route and give you a time we will keep.

Changing or cancelling

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, call us on 01332 313 377 as early as you can. Giving us notice lets us offer the slot to someone else, and it means we can usually find you another time quickly. If we ever need to change an appointment ourselves we will contact you and rearrange at a time that suits you.

Ear wax removal pricing

Wax removal is priced by outcome. If we examine your ears and find no wax to remove, you pay £25 for the ear health check rather than a removal fee. Where wax is present the charge is £40 for one ear or £65 for both, including a free hearing screening. Children aged seven and over are £75. We cannot always clear every ear in a single appointment, and where a second visit is needed we will tell you the cost before you agree to it.

Hearing tests

Hearing tests are free, in clinic or in your own home, and carry no obligation to buy anything. A free test is a full clinical assessment, and we will tell you plainly if you do not need a hearing aid.

Hearing aid prices

Prices shown on this site are per pair, fitted and programmed to your prescription. Prices may change, and the price we confirm when you book or order is the one that applies to you.

The 30-day Peace of Mind Guarantee

Your new hearing aids come with 30 days to be completely sure. Your brain takes around two weeks to adjust to hearing properly again, so the 30 days give you time to acclimatise, tell us what is not right, and let us fine-tune until it is. During those 30 days we will remake, change model, change style or even change manufacturer until we get it right — as many adjustments as it takes, in clinic, remotely or in your own home.

What we commit to during your 30 days

A virtual check-in call around two weeks after fitting to review how you are getting on. Same-day remote support through Pride Hearing Care, using Signia Telecare or Starkey TeleHear, set up at your fitting. And as many adjustment appointments as it takes, at whichever clinic suits you or at home.

What we ask of you

Wear your hearing aids consistently — daily wear is what drives acclimatisation, and your aids keep a wearing log we can look at together. Tell us promptly about anything that is not right; nothing is too small. And attend the adjustment appointments we arrange, so we have a fair chance to make reasonable changes within the 30 days.

If it is still not right

If, after reasonable adjustments, we cannot achieve a satisfactory result for your hearing, you will receive a full refund. No quibbles.

Stepping up a tier

If you wish you had chosen a higher technology level, everything you invest today counts in full towards stepping up a tier within 12 months — Essential to Advanced, or Advanced to Premium. Aftercare, servicing and adjustments are included for the life of the aid.

Home visits

Home visits and the hearing test itself are free, with no call-out charge, across the UK including all six counties of Northern Ireland. If we cannot reach you at the agreed time we will call to rearrange.

The online hearing check

The online hearing test on this site is a screening check, not a diagnostic hearing test. It runs through your own headphones and cannot be calibrated, so it cannot rule out a hearing problem and is not a substitute for an examination by a clinician.

Information on this site

We keep the prices and details here accurate and up to date. Nothing on this site is individual medical advice. If your hearing has changed suddenly, or one ear is noticeably worse than the other, contact your GP or call us.

If something goes wrong

Our clinicians are registered with the HCPC, and we are members of BSHAA and the British Society of Audiology. If you are unhappy with any part of your care we would rather hear it from you first — call 01332 313 377 or email hello@pridehearing.co.uk and we will look into it and come back to you. If we cannot resolve it between us, you can raise it with BSHAA. For anything about your personal data, see our privacy policy or contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
